Growing Conditions
2016 was a standout vintage. The characteristics of our Cabernet and our Shiraz that year were perfect to create our popular signature red blend, a classic Australian Cab Shiraz. Autumn and winter were dry and cool which meant the start of the growing season was slightly delayed. Rainfall was low. Irrigation was used to replenish soil moisture. Relatively mild summer climatic conditions - warm days and cool nights with an absence of extreme heat - ensured the fruit was able to ripen evenly and the flavours intensify.
