Growing Conditions
Bud-burst date was on par with average after wet July & August. Spring was cool & damp which resulted in slow shoot growth. Fruit set was variable due to cool conditions but the weather stabilised in November, with excellent growing conditions through to February. A lack of any weather extremes, either heat or cool spells lead to favourable ripening conditions and excellent flavour development.

Palate
Fine bead and creamy mouthfeel. Nougat, white peach and citrus undertones, youthful and tantalizing palate.
As we built Eight at the Gate Wines, Mum stepped in whenever needed- from caring for our children to lending a hand in the vineyard. Her unwavering support, like this wine's persistent bubbles, never faltered. Each sip embodies Jillian's strength and grace- a women who, like this wine, grew more beautiful with time.
